Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf QUALIF # 5 Prix de Bourgogne gave rise to a thrilling clash. The two favorites put on a fabulous show and it was Face Time Bourbon, the most played, that won Group II. Vivid Wise As and Délia du Pommereux, second and third respectively, obtained their qualification for the Ultimate Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf, the three top races, Prix d’Amérique Legend Race, Prix de France Speed Race and Prix de Paris Marathon Race.
The favorites held their place in Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf QUALIF # 5 Prix de Bourgogne. Face Time Bourbon logically soared to a high confidence rating. The Grand Prix d’Amérique 2020 winner made a strong impression by winning the QUALIF # 2 Prix du Bourbonnais on December 13. He was mainly opposed to Davidson du Pont, who beat him in the last French Grand Prix. The fight between these two champions was superb. It lasted until the mid-stretch, when Face Time Bourbon was aggressive to take a definitive advantage. His rival weakened slightly and settled for fourth place. Vivid Wise As and Délia du Pommereux completed the podium. They both join Diable de Vauvert, Feliciano, Bahia Quesnot, the aforementioned Face Time Bourbon, Victor Ferm, Moni Viking, Gu d’Héripré and Féérie Wood among the qualified for the three events of the Ultimate Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf: Prix d’Amérique Legend Race, Prix de France Speed Race and Prix de Paris Marathon Race.
Björn Goop, Face Time Bourbon pilot, did not hide his happiness after the race, at the microphone of Equidia: “It is magnificent, it is a dream for every driver to be associated with such a horse. He wasn’t on top yet but will be in four weeks. He always wants to win! I had a really good feeling today “. Sébastien Guarato, his mentor, added: “We got a little hot at the end, the last few meters were difficult. He’ll be better running in hiding, in the big race, in four weeks. You will have to be very strong to beat him ”. Jean-Michel Bazire, coach-driver of Davidson du Pont, explained: “My horse will progress to this good fourth place, it is encouraging for the future, he lacked a little competition”.
Next meeting for the Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf competition: Sunday January 17th with the QUALIF # 6 Prix de Belgique, the last one before the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race.
