Grand Prix de Bourgogne: Bold Eagle intractable

EpiqE Series

2 January 2017

The Grand Prix de Bourgogne, 11th stage EpiqE Series, offered a panting fight to the public on Sunday 1 January at Vincennes Hippodrome de Paris. The duel between champions Bold Eagle and Timoko took place, but it was short lived. The first one has indeed shown a real superiority. His victory has not suffered any contestation. Franck Nivard’s partner first waited in the peloton, while Timoko led the dance. The acceleration of the winner of the Prix d’Amérique Opodo 2016 in the final turn has once again been astounding. His opponents could only see his dominance.
Timoko has retained a splendid second place, synonymous with ticket for the Prix d’Amérique Opodo Final EpiqE Series, like Booster Winner, third at the end of a sharp end. We know ten qualified horses for the summit of 29 January: Anna Mix, Propulsion, Princess Grif, Bold Eagle, Lionel, Voltigeur de Myrt, Belina Josselyn, Treasure Kronos, Timoko and Booster Winner. Next and last qualifying event: the Grand Prix de Belgique, Sunday 15 January. Note that Timoko has achieved the feat of becoming the new richest French trotter in history. Richard Westerink’s protégé earned 4,301,098 euros of gains, thus dethroning the previous record held by Ready Cash.
