Both won their first Gr.1 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prixdameriqueraces.com\/en\/courses\/prix-damerique-races-zeturf-qualif-3\/\">Prix d&#8217;Am\u00e9rique Races ZEturf elim&#8217; #3 Crit\u00e9rium Continental<\/a>. Favourite of the race, the duo knew how to control operations even though they were positioned outside of the leader, a situation that was often uncomfortable but perfectly managed by the Norman driver who had a magnificent 2021 season, as if punctuated by this prestigious success. He explained on Equidia TV<em>: &#8220;I was lucky enough to run into this horse at the start of winter. I was afraid of a crazy race and on the contrary we looked at each other a lot and I was in control. Hohneck is a champion: he&#8217;s cold, he&#8217;s in high spirits, he loves racing.&#8221;<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letrot.com\/stats\/fiche-cheval\/hussard-du-landret\/ZWV7YgABAQsE\/courses\/dernieres-performances\">Hussard du Landret<\/a>, a long time outside of the winner, was a good second ahead of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letrot.com\/stats\/fiche-cheval\/hooker-berry\/ZWV7bAYHBwoW\/courses\/dernieres-performances\">Hooker Berry<\/a> who followed the winner for a long time. One thing is certain, we will now see Hohneck again on January 30 at Vincennes: he has qualified for the Prix d&#8217;Am\u00e9rique &#8211; Legend Race but his trainer has specified that the 5-year-old Sulky World Cup could also interest him. Wait and see!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prixdameriqueraces.com\/en\/courses\/prix-damerique-races-zeturf-qualif-3\/\">Access the result and review the race<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The same principle of direct qualifying was offered in the fourth qualifying event and the Italian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letrot.com\/stats\/fiche-cheval\/ampia-mede-sm\/ZGJaZgYAAQoB\/courses\/dernieres-performances\">Ampia Mede Sm<\/a> was particularly expected after eight consecutive wins. But at fault in the last bend, Fabrice Souloy&#8217;s trainee was not able to repeat, especially against an unstoppable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letrot.com\/stats\/fiche-cheval\/galius\/ZWR8ZQYAAgoS\/courses\/dernieres-performances\">Galius<\/a> after having animated the race. It is therefore the winner of the Crit\u00e9rium des 5 Ans 2021 who joins the potential list of candidates for the Legend Race on January 30th. But her trainer S\u00e9verine Raimond said she was still undecided: <em>&#8220;The horse was literally flying today and I am very happy with him and Yoann Lebourgeoos. I don&#8217;t know if we are going to race the Prix d&#8217;Am\u00e9rique &#8211; Legend Race: I am at 50-50. If no horse is unbeatable, Face Time Bourbon is in my opinion, and a horse like Etonnant is very very tough.
