At 7 years old, <strong>Uhlan du Val<\/strong> has gathered all the experience he needs to make himself into a high-level trotter. He was thrown into competitions at the deep end very early on and took part in one of his first Parisian races in the August when he was 2, at Enghien Hippodrome. He went on to win his first race the following spring in the west of France at Pontch\u00e2teau, not far from Nantes. He continued as impressively as he started, proving that his talent wasn\u2019t fading with age, and he would discover Vincennes next; this was the track where he would take home some of his most impressive wins. His attempts in Group I races (the highest competition level in horse racing) haven\u2019t always been brilliant: at the Crit\u00e9rium des 4 ans in 2012 he was disqualified, when a place on the podium should have been within his grasp.\u00a0 He came second to a dazzling <strong>Up and Quick <\/strong>in the Crit\u00e9rium des 5 ans in 2013 and then came second again, this time to <strong>Aladin d\u2019Ecajeul<\/strong> in the Prix de S\u00e9lection last March, after he had taken the lead at 150m from the finishing post.<\/p>\n<p>In the Grand Prix d\u2019Am\u00e9rique 2015, the M\u00e9gissier family\u2019s prot\u00e9g\u00e9 will be going head to head with both of these champions and he will be set on exacting a formidable vengeance, with encouragement all the way from his loyal supporters.<\/p>\n<p>Uhlan du Val \u2013 male, 7 years old<br \/>\nDriver: C\u00e9dric M\u00e9gissier<br \/>\nTrainer: C\u00e9dric M\u00e9gissier<br \/>\nOwner: Jean-Pierre M\u00e9gissier<br \/>\n10 victories, including the Prix de Belgique (11\/01\/15)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He is primed for the Prix d\u2019Am\u00e9rique Opodo, in peak condition and riding high at the top of his game.
