The Prix de Paris “Marathon Race”, scheduled for Sunday February 28 at Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes Hippodrome, will close the Prix d’Am\u00e9rique Races ZEturf competition. This Group I will also be the third Ultimate Final, after the Prix d’Am\u00e9rique “Legend Race” and the Prix de France “Speed \u200b\u200bRace”. The champions will compete over 4,150 meters, or two laps of the Parisian Grande Piste, a very long course which is perfectly suited to competitors who also shine in the uphill, the other discipline of Trotting. Several top competitions under the saddle have won the Prix de Paris \u201cMarathon Race\u201d in the past. Let’s continue this series with Dream With Me<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the start of his career, then trained by Jean-Pierre Dubois, Dream With Me<\/strong>, a not very precocious horse, devoted himself solely to harnessed trotting, signing several victories at an intermediate level. After joining the workforce of Alain Roussel, a formidable mentor with mounted horses, he fully revealed himself in this specialty at the age of 5, in September 1996, when he took a fourth and a fifth place in races of Group I, the Prix de Normandie and the Prix des Elites. Then begins its meteoric rise. He recorded six successes in a row against the best under the saddle and found supreme consecration on January 19, 1997, by winning the Prix de Cornulier, the world championship in the discipline.<\/p>\n

On the harness, against the tenors, the Alezan has only one trophy in Lisieux. It was therefore with a certain lack of references that he entered the Prix de Paris “Marathon Race” on February 15, 1998. Winner of a second Prix de Cornulier a month earlier, Dream With Me<\/strong> manages to triumph almost from start to finish, of course little, but with real courage. It is ahead of the stars of the moment: Abricot du Laudot<\/strong>, D\u00e9fi d\u2019Aunou<\/strong>, Capitole,<\/strong> Cygnus d’Odyss\u00e9e<\/strong> and Balou Boy<\/strong>. It is the only Group I in harnessed trotting to feature on its superb record.<\/p>\n

Dream With Me<\/strong> performed in competition for a few more months, then competed in its last race on December 25 of the same year. An injury forces him to end his career. He died prematurely at the stud, at the age of 10, in 2001.<\/p>\n
