Prix d’Amérique Legend Race: Face Time Bourbon out!

Race

25 January 2022

It was a real thunderclap that fell on the equestrian world this Tuesday, January 25 around 2 p.m. Face Time Bourbon will not compete in the 2022 edition of the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race, the first Final of the Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf competition.

He was to be the big favourite, less than 2/1, for the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race 2022, a summit event which he won in 2020 and 2021. His attempt at a hat-trick had been feeding the media for several weeks. Unfortunately for the show and for its many fans, Face Time Bourbon will not be at the start this Sunday, January 30, of the 101st world championship at the Sulky. The news was announced directly by Antonio Somma, its owner who represents Scuderia Bivans. In the company of Sébastien Guarato, the champion’s coach, he explains the facts in Italian in a video posted on his Twitter account. Sébastien Guarato then speaks in French: “Face Time Bourbon will not be able to participate in the Prix d’Amérique due to a foot problem. All his next races are in question. He will go directly to the breeding season, we will see for the rest. The concern is a little stronger than a fracture. »

In other words, Face Time Bourbon will not line up in any of the three Finals of the Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf competition. He will likely be absent from racetracks until late spring. We wish him a quick recovery for a quick return to the tracks.
