Third qualifying event at the 2019 Grand Prix d’Amérique, the Prix Ténor de Baune allowed Looking Superb to clinch its ticket for the most beautiful race of the calendar. His new mentor Jean-Michel Bazire accomplished a feat.

The enthusiasm and the smile of Jean-Michel Bazire after the race say a lot about the pleasure experienced by the winner of 20 Sulkys d’Or with Looking Superb. As soon as he saw it coming home, it was love at first sight on Equidia: “I thought it was moving as well as it was beautiful, it was going to be fine.” Confirmation on the track in this Prix Ténor de Baune that the Norwegian trotteur wins in a superb style after having waited near the leader Global Trustworthy. And Jean-Michel Bazire to continue: “it’s a crocodile, it lowers to bite.” So how far does the predator go? We will know it on January 27 (day of the Grand Prix d’Amérique) since “a wild card that does not refuse” concluded the professional Sarthe who placed his three residents in the first three places after the disqualification of Global Trustworthy after investigation. Davidson du Pont (Franck Ouvrie) is second and Dark Night Love (A. Abrivard) completes the podium. A unique triplet in the history of the race. Délia du Pommereux was disqualified at the entrance of the straight line, showing fault.

Looking Superb represents the Norwegian breeding and participated this Sunday in his second race in France but it is a son of the tricolor stallion Orlando Vici.

Update on qualifying horses for the Grand Prix d’Amérique: Davidson du Pont, Délia du Pommereux, Bird Parker, Bélina Josselyn, Eridan and Looking Superb.
