Bahia Quesnot wants to conquer Italy again

Bahia Quesnot shined last year in the Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf competition. Qualified for the Finals thanks to her third place in the Qualif # 1 – Prix de Bretagne, Junior Guelpa’s mare had finished fifth in the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race, then fourth in the Prix de France Speed ​​Race. She should once again compete in the most beautiful winter events at Paris-Vincennes, for the 2021-2022 edition. In the meantime, this great traveler will travel to Italy on Sunday November 14, more precisely to Montegiorgio, not far from the Adriatic coast. Bahia Quesnot will compete there in an atypical race, the Palio des Communes. This is a Group I where each trotter represents a town or village located around the Montegiorgio racecourse. The daughter of Scipion du Goutier will defend the colors of Montegranaro.

The event is contested in three qualifying races and a final, over the short distance of 1,600 meters. Main rivals Bahia Quesnot will be Chief Orlando, Akela Pal Ferm, Zacaria Bar and Night Brodde. The French mare will be keen to repeat her previous Italian victory, which was on December 13, 2020 in Naples, in the Group I Grand Prix Royal Mares. She will also have the tough challenge of succeeding Infant du Bossis, the last French to have won the Palio des Communes, in 2004.
